MEET JODI BURNETT

Jodi Burnett is a Colorado native. She loves writing Mystery and Suspense Thrillers from her small ranch southeast of Denver where she also enjoys her horses, complains about her cows, and writes to create a home for her imaginings. Inspired by life in the country, Jodi fosters her creative side by writing, watercolor painting, quilting, and crafting stained-glass. She is a member of Novelists, Inc. and Sisters In Crime.

Born in Boulder, Jodi is a Colorado native. With the foothills of the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, she spent hours as a child playing with imaginary friends. Horses and dogs were always part of her scenarios and Laura Ingalls Wilder’s, Little House on the Prairie books were often creative fodder for her games. As an adult, Jodi still plays make-believe, but now her friends show up on the pages of her books.

Her love of story was cultivated by her father—the family bard. Some of her best memories are of sitting with her dad on the back porch, listening to him recount his boyhood adventures. Jodi credits her love of reading to him as well. When she was in high-school, Jodi’s dad introduced her to Robert Ludlum, whom she still considers the quintessential spy novelist. Jodi’s love of suspense has never waned.
