I'm Jodi Burnett, an author of Historical and Women's Fiction.
Letting Go, a contemporary women's fiction, was my debut novel. My work in progress is a romantic thriller called Run For The Hills. I also have an historical novel, From Germany With Love percolating on the back burner. (Peruse my inspirations for this new novel on my Pinterest board by clicking the link above.)
Check out research photos for these novels along with my other adventures on the Fun Stuff page.
I believe that every life has meaning and purpose. Sometimes, we lose sight of that or it changes and we feel lost. We lose faith and wonder what exactly is the point of slogging through the days. I hope to encourage you to keep dreaming and to live into your passion. I was an at-home-mom for 29 years and after my kids grew and flew, I felt aimless. My husband suggested I write a book about my process. Which I did not do. Instead, I wrote a novel about an imaginary character's process and in doing that I found my passion. I realized a love for writing and an exciting vehicle for my boisterous imagination. Since then, I have written two more books. I love learning about writing and hanging out with other writers. A whole new experience has opened up for me. Life is truly what you make it. I hope you find your passion and revel in the journey of chasing your dreams.
Along with writing, I also enjoy watercolor painting and crafting stained glass. You can see samples of my work on the JBugCreations page. Some of my other hobbies include quilting, cooking, and gardening. I will share things about these and other ventures on my Fun Stuff page.
I live in the beautiful state of Colorado on a small ranch southeast of Denver with my husband of 34 years. We have horses, cows, chickens, dogs and cats. My horse, Nika, is in the photo with me. I am blessed to be the mother of four wonderful adult children and a grandmother to the six most amazing grandchildren in the world with another one due in May!
I hope you enjoy wandering this site. I would love to hear from you on my Contact Me page. I will write back. Also, please, 'like' me on Facebook. Thanks! ~ Jodi
